OK... I love my kid... and I have a second one just about ready to pop out.... BUT DANG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sometimes when you have a 4 year old whining in your ear, and it's early in the morning... and I don't have enough coffee to be awake.... I just want to loose it !!!!!!!!!

This morning, I came very close to a total loss of "Dad Control." So... I woke up the wife... told her to go watch the kid... and I went down to my hobby room to clear my head.

I'm a good dad, but I have a short fues.

No questions... just venting.

That is all.

I know what you mean...but my hobbie room is the garage, and then the wife gets mad, that Im there to much...Just cant win

Been there.... It lasts a looooooong time. The bright side (for me) is my baby turns 21 in a month. I haven't had to deal with in a long time. I still remember it very clearly though.

Sometimes I think I'm too old to have kids. To be very honest... I was perfectly happy without them... but then I had to hear about it from the wife all the time. The second one is the last. I'm almost 40, and I'm going to have to deal with a new-born and a 4 year old. The wife is younger (32) but still.......... I'm going to be looking like "Garand-pa" when the new one get's out of college.

OK... I now what I just said is bad... but it's not like she can read.

Some days are better than others... but it seems like when I'm in a bad mood... she just pushes my buttons.

Then again... I don't want to die alone, and I will need someone to change my depends when I get old.

Sorry. I'm not really this big of an ass... but it makes me feel better to get it off my chest.

Preaching to choir, brother.....

My oldest was a button pusher & to add to the misery, his mom & I were divorced when he was 6ms old. She raised him so nothing was ever his fault. Every weekend that I picked him up my blood pressure went through the roof & I stayed in a bad mood from the ride over to the ride back home... He was 9 when wife # 2 convinced me to have another one.

I'm sure being divorced would make it rough. My Brother only made it a few years with his marriage, and his kid was about 5 years old when they separated. He is now 16, and it is still a struggle. My brother has now moved back to PA with me... and his kid has moved with him.... but it's hard to undo +10 years of a mom who wanted to be his "Friend" opposed to being his "Mom."

Well..... It's a new morning. Hope to have a better day. Oh... and it's 6:30 AM, and it's already above freezing, so that's a plus. Spring is on it's way !!! :hurray:

Tony dont worry about the age thing, I was hung up on that too until I realized there are advantages to being a little older and wiser. I was 39 when I had my twins who are now 6 but I would have been much more impatient if I was 10 yrs younger. When they get to you walk away and say "measured response" 5 times and go back. At 6 they are much fun and I am looking forward to our first jet ski ride as a family when the weather turns. Ice melted on the river this weekend, almost there.

Kids

We all vent sometimes. It's a really good pressure relief valve. My kids are 18 and 19.Now is probably our best time ever.
You guys call it a hobby room.Me! I go down to my "Man Cave".Different name.Same thing though:cheers:

Yesterday was much better. She was back to her normal, 4 year old, self. Not perfect... but what 4 year old is.

Thanks for listening guys.

:thumbsup:Doc; I can identify with you a little here. I was almost 38 when my son was born and had real concerns about it, but made it through ok. Today is his 27th birthday and we are going to throw back a few together and talk about old times. Oh, forgot to mention that I have a 42 year old daughter too, born while I was in the Marines. I tell people the 15 year seperation between kids is like having two seperate families, love them both!!!

oops thread was a year old.
I'm sure your better now.
You have a second family here
