Hi all. I have used these forums on and off for a few years and they are great. I even downloaded the M2 jet drive manual. From what I have read this has something to do with the oil reservoir sensor or the oil system itself. One issue I have is that the M2 manual is dated 1999. My boat is a 2003 Utopia 205. The diagrams in the manual do not match up. It shows the oil reservoir up by the front of the engine but mine is in the middle on the port side. Is this still a good manual to use? I am trying to test the sensor with a meter but I cant even locate the wires? When I start the boat it idles for about 30 seconds and then I get the 4 beeps. While I was out on the water when this started I was able to drive back and it kept beeping about every 3-4 minutes? the

This is common. The float on the inside of the oil tank mounted on the side of the engine will go bad. I just purchased the whole tank with new float. Simple to switch out.

Thanks, I figured as much. I looked in the parts section and did not see one. Could you share where you purchased yours?

I sure hope so because I didn’t bleed the system when I did mine 2 years ago.
It really is easy to do. The system will pressurize (if that’s the right word) itself after you screw the small filler cap back on it. Always make sure that the large Filler cap is tight also. I’ve accidentally left it loose and the reservoir tank will not fill back up until you tighten it. I’ve done a lot of silly things that have made me smack my forehead

Thank you for the info. Can I replace this without having to bleed the system?

So the beeps are gone YAY! thank you. I just have one question. Does the oil flow form where I circled red to the photo where the red arrow is? I do not see any oil flowing through that line?oil1.PNGoil2.PNG

So my oil pump is shot too. Interesting that you get beeps for the tank but it will run with no warning on a bad oil pump? Here goes another $500!
