I found this PLASTIC, black thing that is about the size of a quarter and a little over a 1/2in. tall and is beveled from 1/16in. down to nothing. I found it around the drive shaft on the bottom of the boat bouncing around behind the impeller. Not sure if it was already like that or not when I bought the boat, but I also found about 2 feet of fishing string wraped around the shaft, behind this part that I removed and also cut off this part. Any help guys. Thanks

That sounds interesting...maybe a remnant from the last owner...I don't think it belongs to the seadoo, but post a picture if it has your interest.

This was something that I had to cut off to remove, you can see the cut from where I used a pair of snips to cut it off... woundering if it goes somewhere's in the through hull area... From what I see on the fiche it seems to look different then this. I have NO clue what it may be..

It's a seal that is on the end of the impeller. Go to the "parts" link at the top of the page and follow it to your model it will give you a parts breakdown.

Karl, the seal that you are talking about is still there on the imeller. Now that I have remover this item both sides (impellers and seals) are the same and intact. The picture with the impeller in it shows before I removed it...

Under the fiche for my boat the seems to be "RING" of some sort #35 that might be it, and I believe that the part you may be talking about Karl is #3" impeller boot." Is this correct Karl or am I in the wrong area. Thanks...

Casey
