Ok so this whole time i was thinking that my batteries were bad and taking them back. "I wonder why the parts store returned three in 4 days for me without checking them". Last night after i got the New battery i was installing it and after installation i hit the start button and "CLICK" awww so dissappointed . So i take off the air box and all that crap and start to tighten all the connections. during my connection tightening spree i thought to have all of them tight so once again i hit the "START" button and somehow at the exact same time i dropped my ratchet and it happened to hit the starter and BOOM it ttok off and fire up!!! So i guessing the starter has been my issue the whole time.. so my question is has anyone evr had success rebuilding this type of starter or should i just buy a new one. any help is appreciated

The hardest part is taking the starter off and putting it back on. When you see the price of a new one you'll want to rebuild the old one. It's pretty easy to rebuild, or you can take it to an automotive electric shop and have them rebuild it. Lots of times they only need to be taken apart and cleaned.

You probably already know this, do not buy a 50.00 starter on EBay.

If it is the original starter, rebuild it. I hear it is easy and sometimes all they need is cleaning.
