Man I have been so busy in and out of town working i just remembered i needed to winterize the boat..........it's already gotten pretty cold here.....is it too late or should i still do it?

I have 94 speedster.....

It MAY be to late,, But you need to do so anyways. If it isn't to late, then doing it now may save you in the event it gets colder. If it is to late already, then winterizing it won't hurt..

Get in there and look for cracks on the jugs and the frost plugs on the exhaust. You can usually find a leak right away when you flush on the hose.
Also the cylinders bulge out when they have frozen and expanded. If you pull the head you can see where the casting would have cracked around the water jacket. But if there are no leaks you might have gotten away with it.

I would go ahead and winterize, you might get lucky and have no damage, if there is freeze damage it should show up when you winterize. Even if there is freeze damage winterizing now will prevent more damage.

It's hard to say you will need to pull the head covers and the heads and take a look. You might get lucky and only have to replace the "O" rings.

Sorry, I couldn't tell you, I haven't been to a dealer or a shop in years. Jetskigoodies might have an answer.

If it is just the orings I would not take it to a shop, you just have to remove the hoses from the head, remove the 12 bolts and replace the the orings, then put it all back togethor. Hopefully it is just the large outer one. If the inner ones around the cylinders are leaking then water has been getting to the crank.

Cost at a dealer would be 1 hr labor plus parts. So $100ish. That is only if it were the oring seals. The head or cylinders maybe damaged and that would run you more. It is strange that both motors are doing this unless they split from ice.

I would need to see exactly how it was leaking and where.
