Fold Away Tongue

I have just purchased an 04 200 speedster with only a few hours on it. A great deal. It barely fits in my garage and I want to put a fold away hinge on the tongue. It seems very easy to do but my question is
does the surge brake have flexible brake line or metal tubing. It looks like rubber from the outside but I don't want to cut the tongue in half and then find out its metal and have to go find a flexible hose kit.

I wish i could help but my trailer does not have brakes. There was just a black wire loom from the lights.

The tube should be flexible. The best thing to do is look it over real good before you tackle the job. Do some home work first.

anyone know if i could use a fold away hinge on the tongue the trailer for my 150 or is the trailer too short
