ok we just bought a 97 seadoo xp and a 97 seadoo gtx, and we just took them out to the lake yesterday and everything seemed fine with the xp and out of no where the whole engine compartment flooded, so we took it out of the water drained it, let everything dry up and tried to start it, nothing but a click, and now were home trying to solve the problem, we took the plugs out shot most of the water out of cylinders as we could, wht else can we do to get this thing working, and with the gtx it like has no power at all, it would just like bog out in the water max out at like 5mph....please help, Thank you

Maybe a cooling line came loose, or maybe the shaft seal came loose.

Get rid of all the old gray fuel lines if you haven't yet. The longer you run it with them in it, the worse it will run.

My 2 cents.

xp=drain the oil, remove the plugs and spray wd-40 in there, install new oil, kick over. Probably need new carbon ring assy,...have one if need it,..pm me.
...gtx= to comp test, if good, rebuild carbs, and rip thru fuel system,..filter, lines if grey, fuel selector....
