Cost!

For the cost of buying that stuff off ebay, you can buy a floating dock for your PWC.......man, I see him pouring it into that cup, then says he wants alomst 3K for it...........yeah, like I'm gonna give up 3k bucks on something I don't know much about.

why are you filling 55 gallon drums with foam anyways?

they already displace 55 gallons of water, that means that (55x6.24=343.2)

so that means that each drum can support like.. half a jetski.... will filling them with foam even help the buoyancy at all??

maybe im just confused here?
 
Foam?

Yes, filling them with foam is a way to prevent them from sinking. The foam is actually the bouyant material, the drum is just the form for setting it up. Eventually, the drums will get leaks in them, but the foam will still allow them to float.
