I just recently, upgraded to the BUDS/Buds2 Hardware / Software, from Candoo Pro. I also went down the rabbit hole of needing to flashing the ECU HW to the correct software. I have a 2007 Sea Doo that has a bad ECU and I have an ECU from another Sea Doo that is a different Software Version but a different HW version 644965 / with SW 420664136. This software is for a 2006 with an MPEM which a 2007 GTI 2155 SE does not have. I need to get it to 644965 / with SW 420665781. So, the question is the ~50 from for the single firmware tied to a Serial Number in the ECU and who has had experience with diag-systems.net? I had a horrible experience once before and someone got me for 3K and a bunch of ECU's. Trying not to go down this path again. Below is what has me concerned, yet alone:

"DIUS Flasher software and firmware we'll send you within 12 hours. You agree that you receive the electronic product by e-mail and do not pritenduete for money refund!"

When I installed DIUS4 Flash, I got this email:

Welcome to the DIUS Flasher
You can get acquainted with the options of the DIUS 4.0 program and buy any container with firmwares here:

Any advice / experience would be appreciated!

Thanks, in advance!

what were your symptoms of a bad ecu? i am trying to diag whats going on with my ski. same year i cant get the candoo to read anything.
In most cases if you can’t read the ECU period, I would make make sure there is power to the ECU, otherwise it may be dead. In the case of that ski , someone used a 2007 ecu from a sportster boat , that has a MPEM. The ski had no MPEM so it was throwing errors. I spent 50 bucks and flashed the ECU to the right software version. It was straight forward. I will say I’m still trying to get the ski to start, I’m thinking it’s now related to timing. I put new fuel in it and it still doesn’t fire. Not ECU , related. Let me know if I can help.

mine starts runs for 15-20 minutes on the water then throws the long beep and limp mode. my candoo pro system wont read the ski so i cant marry the gauges to see what code is being thrown (i assume overheating) but temps look ok for the most part. my first thing i need is to be able to read the ecu but i cant seem to do it. not sure if i should bite the bullet or if there are ways to check.. i havent seen much out there and youre the first person to reply in a year of trying to figure it out off and on.

Thanks

Long beep limp mode would likely be oil pressure. There was a design change, and the way see doo does oil pressure sensing doesn’t make a lot of sense. I have two 2008’s and that GTX that I can’t figure out. I’m doing someone a favor. I bit the bullet with the BUDS,Because of the limitations of the Candoo Pro. You need that to marry the display. I don’t think it will vary if it’s plugged in and not married. Lastly, I would say if it runs it can’t be the ECU. They generally don’t start or have sensor issues. I do t know why your Candoo Pro doesn’t read it.

thanks for the help.. im going to try a few more things i have someone who will test the ecu for $80 i have a message in to candoo to see what they think. i think its something with their system

candoo replied they want me to test the can circuts which i need to figure out how to do. but thats a better response from them than before. last time they left me high and dry.
