Installed PIC (Eagle Cuda 250 Sonar/GPS Combo Unit):

I transom mounted the transducer pretty much flush with the lowest flat part of the bottom of the hull. Temporarily tapped off of radio power for now... I am getting some electrical interference at the moment, so I am going to run a temp test cable back to the battery next time I take it out to try to eliminate interference. I may have to adjust the transducer to get it to work at higher speeds as well.

That is COOL!!!

I have been looking into waterproof GPS systems for water navigation, but didn't even think about shopping for the combo units.

Yeah, this is the cheapest one I could find for around $200 including shipping on ebay.. It's super easy to use.. even my wife figured out the gps without cracking the manual. It lights up too for dusk/night use. I'm going to "properly" finish the install and test this friday, weather permitting.
