WOW!!!! Everyone loves this boat so much better than the Challenger. This thing cruises across rough water with very little splash and without flying all over the place. It's night and day difference from the Challenger. Power wise it's incredible too .. just being on plane and going to 5k to 5.5k you feel that pull. Can't wait till it's broken in so we can go over 5.5k.

There's no hour meter on it though so how do you know where it's at for service and stuff like that. Is there a way to check how many hours are on it?

Glad you had a great first day on you new speedster. I installed a Hr meter in the front compartment under the the cooler box. I connected to the Black- ground and the Purple+positive wire in the that is shared with the depth finder. The 2 wires are left behind the guages, to add the depth finder, which I did already too. This way it only has power when the DESS lanyard is connected to record an accurate hr. account.

Does this hour meter tap into the ecu or something or does it just count hours while DESS is connected? We put 3.5 hours on it yesterday so right now we're just keeping a mental note but I'm going to lose track when it comes to 25 hour maintenance and stuff.

It only counts when the dess is connected. If you find the 2 wires I described it gets its signal from the power only when the dess is connected for an accurate hour amount. Those wires time out too if the engine isn't started...so it isn't just running time.

I found them online at Bass Pro. I could probably just put that in the open guage spot on the left side of the wheel. I wonder if I can advance it to count the 3.5 hours I already have on it.

You could bench it to 3.5 hrs...connect it to a 12volt battery and keep an eye on it. When it hits 3.5 it's ready to install.

200 speedster depth gauge and hour gauge

I have 200 speedster 310 (2008)model
But i dont have a ''DEPTH FINDER GAUGE AND ENGINE HOUR GAUGE''
if someone who know how to install these two gauges, please give me some ideas like what knid of brand, model, that i have to buy and how to install with pictures...
Thanks

I put my hour meter under the windscreen cover on the driver side. pop the cover up and there it is in front of the cooler. Cables are down underneath connected to the purple and black. The depth finder guage is in the blank spot on the dash (left hand side) but I haven't mounted the transducer yet. I'm hoping to get that in Wednesday we we go to our other house where the boat is stored.
