First of all, this is my first time out in this boat period! I completed the oil conversion at home and ran on the hose for a couple of minutes. Had some smoke but expected that, then took it to the dock today and cranked it in the waters tarted right up, let it run for 5-10 minutes no problems. Then took off, WOW! What fun. It ran great for about 5 minuets then alarm? Check oil cap that I he'd zip tied and notice it came loose but found one of the leads that came from the oil cap not connected.
Here is where I am confused, I swear I only had one lead coming from e cap but i may be wrong. Which lead goes to which wire on cap?

Also, the alarm would not shut off, every time I would turn the key alarm would go off. I tried all switches and noticed the bottom right switch that had a orange light made it stop. I shut it off and cranked again, no alarm? What is this switch?

Well ran it for about twenty minutes and I have never had more fun. Ran really good. Got back to the dock and as I was getting it on the trailer, alarm again, hit switch went away. I that point i did notice a lilly pad come out from under boat. Gave it a little throttle to get on trailer and it didn't move at all. Rpm's went up but nothing.

When I got home, put it on the hose to start and alarm again, cranked up hit switch alarm off and it didn't sound right. Shut it off and pulled part of a root out out, started again and sounded normal but the alarm keeps coming on

I guess my question is how do you know what the alarm is trying to tell you. It just has a long beep no pattern just a solid beep until you turn key off or hit the switch

Thanks for everyone help here, this has been a very manageable project thanks to you

Having trouble identifying what the alarm could mean, low gas (had10 gallons only) is it overheating, (not that hot to the touch) or is my oil sensor not bypassed correctly

The alarms will have different beeps. The Over heat alarm is a consent warning. So it's easy to ID. Low oil, and water in the fuel is 4 beeps, and a 1~2 min pause.

If one of the switches were lit.... then it was either low fuel, or a low battery. AND... pushing the switch will make it stop for a while.

If you down load the owners manual for your boat, you can see what the different switches do. It's available on seadoo's website under the owners tab.

And finally... both wires on the oil cap are connected, and it doesn't mater witch one. The cap is a simple switch, and it's not polar.

That's odd, I had a constant beep but as soon as I hit that switch it shut off? I thought it might be warning me on overheating but engine was not hot. It then ran for twenty minutes without warning? I wish I had a temp gauge!
