I took her out for the first time today, and boy was that fun, 1st time at a boat launch had it all in the water, parked the truck, and forgot the keys in the truck lol, had to run back, crowd got a little angry, any ways took it out, there was 3 of us, and let it warm up a bit and did full throttle I was luck to get 15 mph, it was at 7k rpm, and just crusing at 15 so times the speedo just stopped working, so I figured it was over for the day started heading back and was at full throttle out of no where the thing took off like a bat, an I was doing 45 it was crazy, now all its life it was in salt water, and today was its first time in fresh could that been the factor? I don't know what to say, now it works great and the speedo works, still have to adjust the right throttle cable, but other than that it was awsome. Please advise if anyone has any input on that issue, I put brand new plugs in it before I left, also whats the procedure for the fan at full throttle it should be off right? also should I fush the system after fresh water use, and should I use the top ports or the bottom, thanks.

"figured it was over for the day started heading back and was at full throttle out of no where the thing took off like a bat, an I was doing 45 it was crazy"...thats funny. Might've had a bag or something in pump housing??? When your done for day, fire boat up and let idle (out of water, of course),minute or two burp'n throttle 2-3 times. This will get water out of system. Think you should use top ports for flush'n, read that bottom one/s causes to much water pressure for system..
