First start in or out of water???

Hey everybody, I'm in need of some quick advice. Just installed my first replacement wear ring, and I'm kind of nervous. Should I start it for the first time with the new wear ring in or out of the water? Just wondering if I need to start it in my driveway first to make sure everything is fine. Hope someone can throw me a much needed tip. Thanks in advance!

The wear ring is not going to give you any problems with it being replaced. I would run it in the driveway on the hose first and just give everything a once over after you run it. If you did do something wrong, it's better to be at home on the hose for the first time. After the first run, it will give you confidence that you did a good job.
Then go and have fun...

Can't thank you guys enough. It's just past midnight here and I just finished putting everything back together so we can take it out tomorrow. I'll start it in the driveway first thing in the morning.
