I live near a boat launch, and have a good friend that lives right on the water. And I have always wanted a PWC But What Is a decent First one.

Is it also a good Idea to get 2 because I see a 1998 XP for sale on CL With A tandem trailer but no second PWC and I also see a Sea-Doo 3D With out a trailer for sale.

Would it be worth it?

XP: $3900
3D: $3600
________
Total: $7500

But I will check with the parents first. (I am 15 BTW)

How many of you guys Ride With a Helmet on? I am just wondering because I was there when my cousin rolled a 'ski 4 times and got a concussion, If So are there any specific ones you would recommend?

:D

Im new here to Eagle but i know a few things about PWC's. I'm 16 And have been riding for 8 years. We got a sea doo first in 2002, its a 2002 GTX DI. Its 130 hp and great on gas mileage, stability, ride feel, etc. I think something not too much more powerful then this would be a great first waverunner. You don't want to go to powerful first thing because you may end up hurting yourself, and it may seem hard to handle. But once you get used to one first it will all be good. My parents and I have the Sea Doo i described and a 2001 Yamaha 1200 and its 155 hp and its a bit more powerful and its a totally different machine. Ride feel, stability are totally different and its harder to take tight turns and you have to be able to shift your weight at the perfect time which takes practice to get good. Hope this helps kid!

I don't know.... $3900 for the double trailer plus a 10 year old XP? Sounds like a lot to me. Nadaguides puts it around $3700 assuming everything works well.

They might be able to command top dollar for a truly impeccable boat and a tricked out trailer.

XP is a good all around boat - sporty for one but still usable for two leisurely. It is a well documented craft and therefore parts and information are quite readily available. Since it is a preferred racing or modding boat, you need to know that most XPs live hard run lives.

I know nothing about the 3D. So I'll let others weigh in on that boat.
