Fire Extinguisher

There is a decal on the side of the steering wheel dash area that shows a picture of a fire extinguisher. Where is the fire extinguisher normally located?

There is a container located within the cooler area that has a top on it. It looks like to me if you removed the top from that container that would be a good place to locate the fire extinguisher as long as it was secured so it wouldn't bounce out.

What is normal for fire extinguisher mounts on Sportsters?

Yes, inside the storage compartment, there is normally two tubes. One is for your tool pouch, the other is for your fire extinguisher.

The one you need has a red cap in that link and is designated for PWC's.

Get the extinguisher. I believe it's mandatory in every state. You will be fined by the Marine Police if they stop you and you don't have one. Plus, it's better for piece of mind that you have something for that "just in case".:cheers:

I only have one tube which is gray with a cap on it. That sounds like the tool tube you are talking about. I don't see anything with a red cap on it or any sign of where it could have been.

Now I know I need to have one on board I will figure something out.
