Fire Extinguisher that fits storage tube 96 XP

My current extinguisher got beaten up by my anchor when I forgot to put my padding towel back in the bin. Thankfully, it didn't go off. Has anyone found an extinguisher that fits properly in the factory tube?

Yep, hit your local dealer. I couldn't find one anywhere. My dealer had a Seadoo one for $21. It would have been cool if it had a Seadoo sticker on it, but it's just a plain white Kidde unit in a Doo box. I needed two and pissed away a day hitting Walmart, and autoparts stores when I turned back to the dealer. West Marine wanted $24.

Really, and then pay shipping? Priority for that is $13, then even if he charged you $5, to save $3 or $4. That's crazy and you know how I love to save a buck. You might also want to check with USPS to see if that is legit to ship since it is pressurized. Could you imagine the plunger breaking off and filling a van with white dust, LOL the Feds would be all over that.

you do have a point, shipping would be more than the part itself is worth. but I imagine it would ship for more like $6, not 13

Thanks for saving me from the same day of fruitless searching. I'll check my local dealers. I like saving a buck as much as the next guy, but if my ski catches fire, a working extinguisher will be worth its weight in gold (well silver anyway).

Maybe, but a priority box 14 X 12 X 3.5" box is $12.35. Extinguisher measure 12.5 high by close to 3" diameter. Not saying Nick can't do it cheaper possibly.

Thanks man, That's a heavy trip everyday. I can't even think of any Doo dealers around you but I'm sure any powersports shop would have them.
