find members

I'm a newbie to this site and just love it for all the answers and tech "how-to's"...
Is there a way to find members that live close to you without going thru the whole member list? Can you search for a state? Do people really answer your "Friend request" if they don't know you? :seeya::seeya:

on the main page, scroll down to the regional sections. People post in there sometimes looking for others that live around them to hang out. Once you spend a little time here, you get to know everyone like family. I am sure you will find people who live around you.

Thanks, I never did scroll that far down until today to see what's there.

I rather be on the boat with a drink on the rocks instead of in the drink with the boat on the rocks! ! ! !
