Well after calling about 300 dealers (might be exaggerating) I finally think i landed on a boat. I was looking around at 2009's trying to find a great deal.. For some reason no one was selling a supercharged version anywhere near me. The closest and reasonable boat was 8hrs away and that was 16500 plus taxes for the 215hp version. I really am not a big fan of driving so I tried to find someting closer but everywhere around me wanted sticker and then some so I would have been looking at close to 20k after taxes and everything was said and done.. On top of that I was kind of nervous with all the talk of supercharger failure and problems with the superchargers.. So in the end I found that the best for me was the 155hp version. Especially when the only boats I have ever driven are those little "Water Mice" that disney let you rent and also the Pontoon boat that disney lets you take out which i think has rpms of like 2400 or something like that.. Very slow.. So I think this little speedster will be more then enough.. I mean I am a big guy at 250 and it will mostly just be me and my girl.. so i think it will be good enough.. just want something to spin around in and maybe pull someone in a tube and maybe anchor it and fish or something like that.. But anyway.. In the end I got a 2010 Speedster 150 w/ 155hp motor and 4 year warranty for 17,000 flat including taxes, title, reg, and all prep. Probably not the best deal out there but being that it is only 15minutes away I feel a little better especially being that they can do the warranty work and everything and it was purchased from a local place.. I hear horror stories of people being thrown on the back burner when you didnt purchase the boat from the dealer that is servicing it.. Going out today to start the paper work and should have it for the weekend..

Thanks... Was sitting out at the dealer and looking around and of course what do they have sitting there but a 2010 Speedster 150 with the 255hp motor.. I was so close to just being like let me have it being that they figured all the monthly payments and it was so cheap but then I realized that it would be for a 10yr loan and i just couldnt... if it didnt have the tower i probably would have jumped on it but with the tower they were askign like 24k but said they would give it for 22600.. it was hard for me to opt for the 155hp being that im a guy and once you throw out that the bigger motor is right there and available lol.. but i figured id rather just take the cheaper model for now being its the first boat.. see how well she holds up and then later on down the road ill see how things go.. people told me though that even if with all the weight the 155hp can only get you to 40mph thats still more than fast enough on the water.. time will tell i guess...

Congrats on the boat. And yes 40 mph will be plenty fast. Depending on water conditions it could be a wild ride at 40 mph. Meanng if there are any waves your hull will be out of the water. Lol. My 18 foot Utopia has a tough time with some of the waves in the bay. Of course my kids love it when we fly out of the water but man does it come down hard!!! Enjoy your new boat!!!
