Hello I want to verify that my high pressure fuel pump(the one inside the vst) is getting power, should it have power with key on or just when engine is turning over? TIA

The vst pump will (should) start when you turn the key to run. However- it is on a timer from the ECU; about 15 seconds; unless the engine is running. Then it should run until the key is turned to off.
