I have some fiberglassing to do on my Seadoo's busted nose. Its a very dry white mat inside, and crunched pretty easy. Someone told me that I needed a glass resin called Vinyl ester, or else it wouldn't stick. Anyone else ever patch a Seadoo and did you use regular stuff from the boat place or get something special. If you used regular stuff, how did it hold up? (This stuff retails for $70 a gallon.)

Thanks, Duane

I've used regular marine mat and resin for years with no problems. Just be sure to use enough hardener and cross apply the mat so it will have a strong bond. Multi layers are better then just 1 application.

West marine makes a pretty nice system, I have used it on both cars and boats.. They even have tubes for a caulking that you can fill with powdered glass and reson to inject into a hard to get spot...
