Few Questions

Hey Guys,
New to the forums and pwc in general. I picked up an old Bombardier xp basically for free. The guy tells me he THINKS its a 96 but not sure.(still waiting for the title) Said it was put up and winterized about a year ago and not touched since then. Just wondering if anyone has any tips on finding out the year and the best way to go about checking the thing out.
So far all Ive done is charge the battery. Havent even tried to turn it over yet.Gas tank is empty and the oil tank is full, Thought I would change the plugs and the oil. Im assuming you can hook a water hose up to it somewhere to run it out of the water?
Would appreciate any tips anyone has on identifying the year and getting her up and going.

Last two numbers on the VIN plate is the year.

Be sure to disconnect it from the Doo, when charging. You will be repairing/replacing some electrical parts, if you don't.

Water?

Don't try to put water on it till you get it started. You can run the engine for about 15 seconds with no water and be safe...........
