Thinking about buying a new 2012 Wake 210, looking for feedback on the boat. I have a 2006 215 sportster, now and would like to get something bigger. Also, concerned that BRP are out of the boat business.

First, I wouldn't worry too much about BRP being out of the boat business. They are still going to provide parts, as all the wear items on the boats are direct replacement parts from the skis (engines/drivetrain/electronics etc).

Second, its a hell of a boat! Lots of room (seating) lots of storage lots of power! It won't be as nimble as the sportster but pretty close. A neighbor of mine has the 510HP version (and constantly reminds me about it too). I was impressed with its performance when he took me out. If its in your budget you won't be dissappointed.

Thanks for the feedback, I was debating about getting a new boat last season but didn't. This year I am, but not sure if I should go with the 210 Wake (if I can find one) or Yahama 212X. I like Seadoo and I have never had any issues with the Sportster but I have read good reviews on the Yahama.

Can you comment on the Yahama??

Sorry can't comment on yamaha jetboats, never been in one. But yamaha is a name I trust, i have a 30HP outboard, have had lots of their crotch rockets, home audio equipment, pianos etc. I would expect the same quality from their boats.

My real advice ... your likely spending north of $40,000.00 all in (not sure about yami pricing though). In my world that is a huge chunk of dough and nothing is worse than buyers remorse on something that substantial. Test drive both and take your time in deciding. Post back what you end up with. AND PICS (but only if its the BRP flavour .. lolz) jkn' ... good luck and any more questiosn pre purchase just ask.
