I have a 1997 Seadoo GTX with dual carbs this is a project bike someone gave me and im getting ready to order carb kits. I just got a key programmed for it and it woukldnt take a the regular program they had tom put a fast tune on it for it work he told me so i did it and thats what they put a fast tune on it . My question is should i change my jets and pop off since it has the fast tune on it or do i leave the stock jets and pop off in it and if a do need to changen them what do i go with

There is no such thing is tuning the MPEM on these. There is no "Fast Tune", the dealer didn't know what they were talking about.

I’m not an expert, but as far as I know you cannot tune or fast tune, a 1997 JetSki. So don’t go purchasing some Revo racing stuff you’ll just be SOL

It’s a 1998 not 97 does that make a difference
sent my box off to get a key made cause the only shops around where I live want touch anything older than ten years old so I had to mail it off to get a key made and the guy told me it wouldn’t program that the machine he had wouldn’t recognize it that if he programmed my box with a higher performance program
That it might read it and he said that it did but costed me another 150 dollars so please Don’t tell me this guy pulled a fast one on me cause I’ll be taking a ride to his shop in Alabama to pay him a visit and get my money back

On the computer side, I have a Candoo Pro and I'm told it works on all of the Seadoo skis... at least up to 2017. I used it on a Seadoo Spark last year (fairly late model) and I've used it on Skis from 1996 - 2005 with no issues programming a key. The electronics are limited as to what they can do to the older skis. I'm sure basical troubleshooting is still the best method. I've never had th computer find a problem for me. Good Luck

Yeah it sounds like you got shafted. How much did you pay in total and what did you receive? I paid $105 to Westside Powersports back in March to program an mpem I had laying around with an old key, had them program and provide an additional key, and put a new tether on the old key.

If you still need the service, you can dm @Minnetonka4me .
