Fair deal on 98 speedster

Found a 1998 red speedster today. Guy was asking 6000.00. Includes a nice cover and trailer and one new motor. Body had a lot of spider cracks and even a nickel size hole in the cabin fiberglass. Plus all of the gauges recently went out at once. He's pretty strict about his price, I'm thinking even 3500 is risky, it does run well. Any thoughts?

6000 is wayyyy to much. For that much I would expect a really clean perfect boat with extras.

I can't tell if 3500 is good. I think I would just wait for the next one to come along

That's what I was thinking. Just so hard to find a good speedster

I have a rss feed for kijiji in my area. It was easy to set up and I see all of the new boats almost as soon as the come up. I don't know if kijiji is popular in your area or even safe but it's worth a try
