So 5 years have past since i've posted this thread regarding issues with no torque on my 787 spx:

no bottom end torque on 97 SPX

This still an on-going issue...even after a complete rebuild including carbs. Runs fine when on water but whenever i'm trying to "submarine" or do some tricks, it just falls on its face. I'm only 135 lbs so that can't be the problem

Now i'm trying to find out if i have an issue or not with my water box regulator. It is not leaking, diaphragm is new, same goes for the springs. When i disconnect the top hose that goes to the tuned pipe, I can feel air coming out from the hose that's still attached to the pipe.

Is that normal? My waterbox is also very hot to touch. So even if water is coming out of the regulator, i'm wondering if it finds its way to the pipe seeing how some air is coming out from there...

From what I've seen posted on this forum and a tad of personal experience you'll only loose top end if the Water Control Valve is not functioning properly.

I know nothing of tricks but is there a specific position in which the ski is placed that causes the power loss? I would reason that something is getting wet.
