Evercoat Marine Gel Coat Scratch Patch

I hope this is the correct place for this thread but my dilemma is I have a small chip in my gel coat where the fiberglass is exposed on my seadoo rxp. Its only about the size of a dime. The chip in located on the hull at the bow of the seadoo right at the water line. The fiberglass appears to be fine and there are no spiderweb cracks or anything like that just a chip in the gel coat. I was going to use Evercoat Marine Gel Coat Scratch Patch to fix the chip as this was recommended to me by West Marine and I was just wondering if anyone has used this product or could tell me if I am even going about fixing this chip in the correct manner.
