Eureka idea!!

Gazza in sunny uk

At the weekend when reversing the trailer without the Jetski, I had loads of trouble lining it up without the ramp.

So I have purchased a garden gate spring and a length of 15mm overflow pipe used in bathrooms. Next I used a heatgun to warm one end one the pipe and once it began to soften I slipped it half way down the spring and waited until it cooled.
Next I reduced the pipe to a suitable length so when the spring was bend it would raise it's self to the upright position which then when fitted to the rear of the trailer would give an indication of where it was in relation to the car.

Fixing to the rear whilst the ski is onboard was a little tricky as you have to fix it in the bent spring position.

Try it, worked for me!:)

oh ok yeah i could see how that would be hard to see out of; do the rear seats fold down for a pass thorough to the trunk? so maybe you could have opened the truck and looked throught the folded down seats? but what you did is a great idea:cheers:
