Will a 1999 787 RFI engine from a GSX RFI go into a 1999 GS?

Sorry to say the answer is no. The GS has a 717 engine. It mounts completly different than a 787. Different electronics as well.

Yes the same motor.just check the impeller pitch.or use the impeller from the machine you are using the motor from
