Engine start sequence problem - WHAT!?!

Okay. I hope someone can explain this. If I start the Port engine, and then the Starboard engine, no problem. If I start the Starboard engine, then the Port Engine, the Starboard engine shuts off. Can anyone explain this?

Check your wire connections on the Starborad engine. The Port engine draws power to start and there is not enough power on the starboard wires to keep it running.

Could this be a result of a low battery?

Low battery would cause it to shutoff as well. At idle there there may not be enough generated electricity to keep Starboard engine running. Yeah I would check the wires too. Make sure there is no corrosion on the ground terminals. I found plenty on mine.

bad cell in the battery or your starboard engine is afraid of your port

SOLVED - Rectifier was flakin' out. Port engine was running solely off battery. All is good. Thanks!
