Engine spit out spark plug now runs rough

Finally took the speedster out today (97 with twin 717 engines). At about 90% throttle one engine sipt out a spark plug. It shut down. I put the spark plug back in. It was really hot.

The engine was very hard to get started again. I did eventually get it started but runs very very rough at idle. Has a knocking sound etc... I have to give it gas also for it to start. When given more gas knocking sound goes away. Still sounds different then before. Did I kill the engine? This boat is starting to drive me crazy.

yep... that's where to start.


Since the Rotax engine uses long spark plugs... there has to be significant damage to have pushed out a plug.
