engine shuts off

Does anyone know why my challenger 1800 1998 engine won't stay started all the time.
As long as I going fast its fine. But when I idle to long it shuts off and the only way to get it to run is to pull choke out why trying to start it and ease into the gas. Thanks for your help. The left engine is fine.

You give very little information bud. Rebuild the carburetors. Maybe check compression. How long have you owned this vessel? What engine or engines do you have?
