Ok i just bought a 99 speedster. Took it out and and everything works great. But I was just about to go register it and found the the placards on both the engines are missing (must have fell off or something) so i dont have the serial #'s for each engine to register the boat. Is there anywhere else on the engines that the serial # would be stamped? If not what do i do now:confused:
Thanks

The DMV doesn't care about the engine serial #'s they want the HULL number. It is on the rear of the boat on the Starboard side(right)either in fiberglass or on a black tag...

Actually, here in WV you are required to have the engine serials to register. No one actually checks though, so I suppose you could make them up. One of the motors in my boat had been replaced and the Title was updated to reflect the new serial.

That's different...I'm a certified Car dealer here in Florida...just the HULL number is recorded as the engine could always be replaced...but the Hull not so easy. Id make one up...

I think it's ridiculous that Bombardier couldn't come up with a better way to mount that stupid placard to the engine. What is up with the cheapo GLUE (of all things) instead of either stamping the number or riveting the plate?

yeah i have to have the engine serial #'s to register the boat. So can i just make some up? How many numbers are in each serial # for the 787 motor?
