2009 Challenger 230se 510hp
Took the boat out for a 2 hour ride today. Stopped for some lunch in the lake. After down for an hour or so started the engines up. Once we have it some throttle the right engine is like free spooling. RPM jump to 7000 once throttle is hit.
Any ideas.

First check the position of your reverse bucket. If they are in the intended position, I would lean to flywheel bolts.

If it is your flywheel bolts, I would stop running it as they can do more damage.

I should have mentioned, the boat would be normal at 2500rpm doing 8-10MPH, that when the issue occurred of hitting the throttle and it reving high.

On the water now with exactly the same problem. Port engine revs hi with no propulsion. Can’t go over 10mph. any suggestions?
