i just got a 98 speedster and i took it out to the lake to test it out, only the left side motor runs. i pulled a screwdriver out and didnt have any fire at all to the right motor. i turns and turns, but no fire. going to check coils by taking the one off the other motor to see if i have fire, if not what other idea does anyone have that i can try? i tried the search but couldnt really find a straight answer for what i wanted... Thank you!!

on the 800 engines... a very common issue, for when you don't have any error beeps, and no spark... is that the pick-up coil in the MAG housing has broken from it's mount.
It's not easy to get at... but it's not impossible. You just have to take the MAG cover off and look.
BUT... as always... with a new boat, that is having issues... get compression readings for us... just to make sure we aren't chasing our tails.

Compression is good, check the little black boxes, i would call the ignition coils i suppose?? when i switch the one from the right motor over to the left it has spark.. when i put it back on the right it has no spark. so where do i go from there? i checked the fuses all fuses light up with the tester.
