Hello All,
I have run across a condition the last two times I was out with my boat that I am hoping someone has also experienced it.
I have a 2000 Challenger with the 210HP Mercury V6.
The past two weekends we have been spent 2-3 hours per weekend out tubing with it in Long Island Sound. Many 4-5 minute runs at 25-30 miles per hour. The boat ran great, started right up, with no issues. The temperature of the motor goes up to approximately 90 degrees when shutdown but quickly cools down once it is re-started.
After tubing, and before putting it on the trailer, both times we took it for a solid 1/2-3/4 hour run to clear it out. During the trip and with holding the RPM’s between 3K-3.5K the motor feels like it is bogging out but a quick touch on the gas clears up. It is not noticeable to anyone else on the boat but me.
Is the motor loaded up from the constant starting and stopping of the tubing and the longer run clearing it out or am I just losing my mind and nothing is wrong?
Thanks,
Mike
