I was just curious if any of you guys asemble the motor complete with the tuned pipe and Cone before you drop it in. I put new oil lines that are longer to ease install, and dropping the motors in slightly to hook up the starter before I lower them compleatly on the mounts. Not sure if this would work but it's the plan I was pondering. Also I think I have to put the starboard in first due to portside carbs being in the way of the starboard tuned pipe. I guess Im thinking everything would be easer to work on and fit out of the boat because my back is shot! Any suggestions thanks guys!

Generally on a 2 engine boat.... I will have the pipe on the starboard side but not on the port side. Also, I will hook up the power, oil and any lower cooling hoses while its still dangling from the shop crane.

I normally put the starboard engine in first.

in the challenger 1800 I`ve actually did it the other way around. I installed the Port engine first, then the Starboard. BUT I had all new oil lines already attached, starters and carbs mounted, picked up the engines and dropped them into the mounts, easy peasy...
The only thing that was a bit time consuming was hooking up the throttle and choke cables...
