G'day guys. I know the engine number plate on seadoos are made of thin alloy. I've had a few that were missing or badly corroded, but the previous owners have had documents to copy engine numbers from.
My old 95 xp had a partial plate so I was able to get BRP Australia to give me the missing numbers.
I bought a 97 challenger 1800 recently that has non existent ID plates on either engine and I can cannot register it here without engine numbers.
I phoned BRP Australia this morning and explained the situation and they were going I get back to me.
I have the old registration papers for the boat but from a different state. It's never been registered in my state (Queensland, Australia)
So I guess my question is to you guys, is there a way I can find the old engine numbers going off my HIN or do I go to all the effort through the authorities and request new engine numbers and re-stamp?
Cheers, Danny
