I just bought a 98 xp limited, and was wondering if there was an engine cover insert that goes under the "hood". My motor is always somewhat wet, and there is no place that a fire extinguisher could go. I thought maybe I was missing some plastic piece or something??
thanks!

Sounds like you need the drop-in basket that holds the 2 dry-storage cylinders for tools and extinguisher.

I have a 96 XP and a 97 Challenger, and they appear to be the same basket.

You may be able to find a used one from a variety of different models that would fit yours.

You definately need the drop in storage basket. They have weep holes to keep to much water from entering the engine compartment to fast so that the siphoners have time to bilge out any water you take on. They also let the water weep in places not critical to the engine. Until you get one, I would not do too much jumping or anything else that would make the front submerge any.
