Engine chuggs when first starting at idle

Hey guys.

I've recently inherited my fathers 150 Speedster. I'm not at home right now so I can't necessarily spew out all the details of the boat.

We were using it last week and I noticed that when you start it up it runs rough at idle and usually for a bit when you accelerate. After a bit a running at high speed it settles down and runs fine.

It had about a quarter tank of fuel in it over the winter, but fuel stabilizer was added in the fall so I would have thought that would have been ok.

I had forgot about the blower, which I started to use, and that sort of seemed to make a difference, but didn't eliminate it entirely. I may not have used the blower enough before starting it, or there could be something else wrong and the blower isn't really doing much of anything.

Anyone else have similar issues?

Thanks in advance!

I have the same exact problem with my 180. All I can figure is that it needs to burn that little bit of fuel that sits in the carb all week. Have fun.
