Engine Break-In Procedure

I have done a google search for the proper break in procedure for an engine, and everyone has an opinion... I have read 10 hours, varying throttle through running it, cool completely, running higher rpm, let it cool, etc.

The ski is a 2003 gtx, with a 951 DI.

Cylinders are bored 1.5 over using ProX pistons, with an OEM Crank

Squish is 075" average measured 2 times at the four locations over the wrist pins.

Leak test on the engine was perfect. Held 5 PSI for a long time (well over the 3 minutes), and dropped to 2.5 LBS after 6 hours. Still had about 1 PSI after 24 hours.

Water jacket held 5 psi for over an hour. I did not let it sit as I wanted it prepped for paint.

so back to my dilemma.

I would like to run the engine for a bit at home before I take it to the lake. Since the pump is pulled, I was going to run it off a hose for a bit, then put the pump on, and take it to a lake close to me and run it on the trailer to make sure the carbon seal is working properly. I can not launch it at that lake as it is 10 HP limited lake, and the 951 makes a bit more.

The lake we ride in is about an hour away, so I would like to have everything buttoned up before i make the journey.

Once I make the journey, how should I do the break-in, besides a nice brown color on the plugs?

This is my first engine rebuild, and I picked a DI that did not run when I purchased it due to a destroyed counter balance gear. I need the Seadoo Gods :)

Fine to run on the hose with pump and driveshaft removed. Remember ski on then water on. Water off then ski off last no exception.
No more than a few minutes, just make sure everything is good to go.

Don't add any oil to the gas on a DI ski

First half tank of fuel ride normal up to about 1/3 throttle for 15 minutes at a time with thorough cooling in between. Varying the throttle the entire time.

Continue same pattern for the next half tank going up to 3/4 throttle.

For the next full tank same process but you can go wide open just never hold it there.
That's it.
