nope.... SBT sells the tool you need think there about $150. They might even rent it aswell. You need to align the drive shaft to the pump carbon seal and motor. If its not perfect youll get major cavitation and you can wreck the carbon seal.

Yea SBT sells them for 150. They also rent it for 75. I bought one as it does ALL Seadoo models with all 3 pumps. Very easy to use and worth it.

intersting

has anyone ever tryed to use a gun barrel lasser sight to alignment the engine and out drive. thanks

Not sure how you would find center points shooting through the transom or into the pto. Then there is the whole angle issue.

I purchased the tool from SBT and used it twice now. Nice to know the alignment is correct :)

is there anyone on here that rents the tool for less then 75 or something..

I mean I just did a search for alignment tool and 7 pages come up ppl askin about em and full of ppl saying they rented it or bought I mean why are we throwin so much money to sbt for nothing...

anyways as you can tell I need one and hate chokein up 75 and shipping to rent it lol

I probably shouldn't say this but I put mine in without using the tool.. I used the drive shaft to align the best I could to the center of the pump hole.. That was last year and I have had no problems at all.. Maybe I was just lucky...

as to the allignment i need to change my motor mounts if i use the same shims that are there with the new mount will this change the allignmint..
are all mounts the same thickness ???
