Do you suppose to let the engine runs until it stops with the fuel valve in OFF position to clear out the caburetor when you are leaving the lake? They said this is to keep the carb clean. Is this true? How about when the PWC is to be parked for the next few months? Help!!! Thanks

Myth........

No, you don't have to drain the fuel in your lines for storing.......

I have always been against this practice with any of my 2 strokes, for one reason........when the fuel is close to running out, you start starving the engine for fuel, in essence, leaning the motor out.............leaning a motor is not good...........

There is nothing in the shop manual about this practice.

I do leave my fuel selector switch in the off position, but I don't run the fuel out of it............and beside, you don't have a primer buld to pump it back up..
