So I have a 2006 Seadoo Sportster 150 with the 155 HP Rotax engine. I recently had my ECM (computer) replaced and she's back to running condition. I noticed the first time I took it out that the speedometer and tachometer were not working. When I turned on the boat navigation lights both would light up but neither of them worked anymore. Both had worked before the computer issue. So I began cleaning contacts etc. During this process I noticed the wiring harness had two plug-in connectors under the hood, one for the speedometer and one for the tachometer, which were identical type connectors. I took a look at the plugs and it appears they were reversed. I switched them and "viola" my tachometer and Speedo are working again. Might be something to check if your Speedo and tach aren't working or have never worked since you purchased the boat.
