I'm re-assembling the driveshaft and at the pump side the parts diagram calls for a retaining ring. Is this something that is stuck inside the hull insert that I just cannot see? Here's the pic and part#204120132
That 1/2 circlip fits into the circular groove on the drive shaft,,,you have to move the stainless housing back and press the clip into its groove,,,this can be very difficult on a newer ski since the accordian bellow produces a lot of forward pressure,,,put a rag under the shaft in case you drop it,,,you, will never get it back being stainless and non magnetic.
Is this the c clip that holds that stainless ring that turns with the driveshaft and rubs constantly on the carbon ring? If so, i have that one, i thought this one was a different one.
There is only 1 circlip,,,if you can't move the housing(i don't know what it is called) back far enough,,,I usually mc gyver a lever,,,pry bar,.wood,2x4's,,,etc,,to push the collar back,
Here is a pic of the retaining ring that im referring to:
Where does this go and how does one install this? It's there in the diagram, I just didn't see it anywhere taking the shaft off (unless it's somewhere in the bellows maybe since I didn't remove that?)
