draining the oil

how do I drain the oil from a 96 gti? I had them summerized (i think they did it) but the oil in my GTI is low and when I open it, it is blue. Not sure if it is synthetic or antifreeze. I have oil I want to put in but I don't want to mix it. How do I get in there and get the oil out?

I had a crack in my speedsters oil tank. had to drain the oil to replace it obviously. I sucked it out a little at a time with a syphon-type thing. a little tedious. you could disconnect a line from the bottom and let the oil drain into something if there is enough room down there.
