The manual says the exhaust is self draining on none supercharged 4tec engines. Is this drained enough for -40 deg. temps?

Unless things have changed for the 2008, the manual I have for my 2008 non supercharged speedster 150 does say that the exhaust manifold is not self draining. It states that for ALL ENGINES (SCIC and non-SCIC) you must disconnect the manifold top water outlet hose and pour antifreeze (100% concentration) into the exhaust manifold.

Of course, things may be different for your year but for the 2008 you definately have to protect the exhaust manifold.
