Just bought a 1999 seadoo challenger 1800. I was going to winterize the engines but when I went to put the clamp on the drain tube it was solid and it looks like sand is packed in the hose. A) How do I get this hose off to clean it? B) What else could be screwed up or need to be cleaned because of this?

Thanks

I'd replace those water lines, and then hook hose to flush system, and run couple minutes. Make sure the tell-tale is "piss'n"..

When you say "drain tube" are you talking about the hose that runs to the pump?
If so, that is the main water cooling inlet, so if there's sand in there, there's sand through the whole cooling system.

Do as Timmy said and replace or flush out all of the cooling lines and make sure water is coming through all of the cooling passages.

You may decide to pull out the exhaust components (manifold, pipes, water box, muffler, regulator) and wash them out too.
