I just started to get the double-underlined random words in this forum, where you get close to it and it pops up an advertisement "talk bubble".

Is there any way to disable this? Very annoying:mad:

Scott, I didn't get anything like that ...I logged out and came back in as a guest...unregistered and no pop ups...

Just go to the forum main page/menu. Down by the Regions sections, I see North Carolina and New York double underlined, and when you hover your mouse near it, it pops up a talk bubble with links to advertised sites.

I am a member of 2 other forums (fora?) and I don't get this on them.

I did everything but no double lines,or anything a hyperlink would do as a mouse over. Not as a Moderator, Premium, Standard member or just as a Guest...I let the admins know and see what they can find...

It is weird...sometimes it shows up, sometimes it doesn't. Right now, I see it on the "hp" under my avatar on this page...

Nope, after I hit submit reply, it is no longer there but is now under YOUR avatar on the word "superstock":ack:

now I see it on the word "avatar" on post 5.

I will stop here, I think you get the point.

One thing I should add, first time I scroll the page, sometimes it is not there, but when I scroll back up, they appear...

Robin, are you seeing them?

They aren't too bad, until they pop up right where you need to click, and you cannot get to the hyperlink you want because the bubble opens up over it.

Also, if you even pass your mouse over them for a second, everything slows down for a second while it downloads the advertisement.

Yes this could be a problem. but if it makes enough money and everyone can be premium members for free it may be worth the hassel lol lol.:rofl::rofl:

Just experimenting with other forms of advertising. The adsense ads we are using for banners are horrible...

We have them disabled for premium members and staff, which is why karl, you can't see them.

Oh... ok...I thought someone dumped a virus in the forum for a minute. I figured it was ok I didn't see smoke anywhere...lol

heh na forum is virus free. Not impossible for it to happen, but highly unlikely.

WOW...the longer this thread gets, the more of them I am seeing. It is amazing how many I see now. There has to be 20-25 on this one page!!!

heh they are content/text based. So if I were to type in boat sales <--almost certainly one will show there and be related to selling boats.
