I purchased a DVA to measure the DC volts with my digital meter on my 1999 Seadoo GTI stator. I am getting within spec OHM readings per the Service Manual on the Charging Coil (0.6 OHMS) and Generating Coil (58 ohms) at Static. I plugged the DVA into the common and positive of my multimeter. Measuring the Generating Coil, I back probed the black and black/red wires at cranking. Ended up with 12.2 vdc. Measuring the Charging Coil, I back probed the Yellow and Yellow/Black wires at cranking. Ended up with 7.7 vdc.

Is this the right way to measure with a DVA? Anyone know what the correct working voltage of the stator should be?

The stator produces AC voltage, not DC.

The regulator converts the AC to DC voltage.
